The night the couple met was a total accident. Zach and Elexis have mutual friends that invited them over for a game night. Adam and Amy have been friends with the couple for many years. Little did they know that they would end up playing match maker by having these two over. After the laughter and exchanging numbers they started talking. The two quickly hit it off and soon after made it official. Just a short month and a half later they were living together and happier than ever. The couple had both come out of a dark place and bad pasts that their happiness was exploding!

Zach popped the question on Jan 28th while the couple was on vacation in Punta Cana. They spent the day walking the beach and enjoying the sun, but as they got ready to go to the Casino he said they had to go back to the beach and take photos of the ocean at night. As Elexis was taking pictures and being goofy he asked if they could get a picture together. Elexis said yes and put her stuff down, but after Elexis' mom took the photo Zach turned to Elexis and started getting down on one knee. She told him "No, stop." "No! No!" but he continued to say "Honey, I love you so much. Will you marry me?" Elexis broke down into tears and gave him a hug. After Zach stood back up he asked "Is that a yes" and as she said yes he put the ring on her finger and told her, "I know the beach means a lot to you, and now it will mean more" with a big smile on his face.
