Trae and Ludy met at David Soto's house in Odem, TX, America. David told Ludy he knew of a good bachelor for her and told Trae that he knew of a cute girl who cheered and ran track (haha) in HS and that they should meet. The date on which Trae & Ludy met is not quite clear....but it happened! The fiirst day they were introduced to each other was at a graduation party. Ludy got embarrassed by Ismael Soto who picked up the chair she was sitting on (with Ludy on it) and placed her *RIGHT* next to Trae. Ludy ran (literally) inside David's house because she couldn't believe Ismael had done that to her! The rest is history....
While on a family trip to Singapore, Ludy & Trae took off for a few days to Vietnam. After arriving to Vietnam, they planned out a full schedule for the next day which included visiting pepper farms, visiting a pagoda, walking around a fishing village and having lunch, climbing a waterfall in the jungle and finally spending a relaxed afternoon on Sao Beach. That same night, they planned to have a romantic dinner by the beach. Ludy later found out Trae was nervous about the dinner because rain was in the forecast, possibly ruining his “plans”. In order to not be upstaged by the weather, Trae decided he needed to propose at an earlier time and it was perfect! While at Sao Beach with crystal clear water and not many people around, Trae got on one knee and proposed in the water. The cabana boy who rented them their beach chairs and umbrellas was instructed to take pictures of the proposal and even took a video! The commentary is great—if you can speak Vietnamese. If anyone can translate it would be much appreciated!:) Trae and Ludy made it to the romantic dinner that night already ENGAGED and the weather did not ruin their plans. Trae confessed he was terrified the whole time about getting caught with the ring in his pocket with Ludy several feet away after going through so many checkpoints in 5 airports and various countries. He googled how to travel with an engagement ring in his pocket abroad, wrote a note that read “engagement ring inside, don’t spoil surprise” and wrapped it around the box realllll good. He did great! We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you. See you in Tulum!
