Tyler and I met in high school. We met in the year of 2012, but didn't start dating until March of 2015. We began being friends in October of 2014, and have been nearly inseparable ever since then. We started out relationship as best friends, and I know that he feels the same way when I say that I'm thankful to have started dating at the right time in our lives. Tyler and I were going to Daytona Beach as a weekend getaway to spend some time together since we both work a lot all the time. We arrived on a Friday, and we went on a walk down the beach together Friday evening after having dinner together. We finished our walk together, and went back to our hotel room. The next morning, I woke up first, as usual, and went to sit on the balcony to read a magazine. Tyler had woken up shortly after, and I came back into the room to speak with him about what to do for the day. Tyler then asked me to sit with him on the balcony for a little while, which of course I said yes I would. We sat together a while, looking at the beach and talking, and then Tyler went back in to grab a drink is what he told me, but he really went back in to get the ring! He came back out, and then asked me if I was ready to go to breakfast. I said yes, and then we both stood up, and Tyler said, "I love you," and then got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. I, of course, said yes, and we rejoiced in happiness together, and enjoyed the rest of our beach weekend together as a newly engaged couple.
