Emily and Nick met in the summer of 2015 during Assistant Resident Director training at Ohio University. Throughout training week, Emily and Nick shared countless laughs at the lunch table among friends. Their first date was later that week at Brenen's coffee. They discussed their desires to travel the world and their goals after graduation. Emily and Nick are overjoyed to invite you to their wedding in Athens; their unofficial "shared hometown"!

From the beginning, Emily wanted the big question to be a surprise. Nick had the ring custom designed in Westerville, where he works, so he could go during his lunch breaks. While planning an average weekend visit to Athens, Nick worked with Mason to arrange a secret proposal. During a casual stroll around campus, Nick noticed the Galbreath Chapel door was unlocked - and convinced Emily to follow him inside. With help from Baker Center staff members, Mason got everything ready in the chapel - including queueing up Nick and Emily's song, "Unforgettable" by Nat King Cole. Hiding behind the pulpit, Mason was able to capture the special moment in a very memorable Bobcat weekend. You can see some of those pictures under the "Photos" tab!
