See y’all in the Fort

Lucy and Ben first officially met on the first day of spring semester at UTA, January 2018, in their US History class during a forced icebreaker. Ben was sitting behind Lucy, which was a subconscious habit that continued throughout the following several months. They didn’t really talk much during the semester, as they were of course focusing on their studies. Fast forward to finals week, Lucy found herself swiping on a certain dating app (as you do, during finals week…) She stumbled upon a familiar face with blonde curly hair and blue eyes. It was none other than Ben from history class. She swiped right, and it was a match! They started chatting and found that they shared many interests. Lucy said that she was not taking the history final on the same day as Ben, meaning that they would never be running into each other again unless it was on purpose. After both passing their US History finals, the two met up for their first date at The Woodshed in Fort Worth on May 12th. The conversation flowed easily like the Trinity River they walked along after lunch. That summer of 2018, Ben and Lucy fell in love in the city of Fort Worth.
