Our Story
Sam and Lucy’s story began with a blind date during their first semester of junior year at Clemson University. Lucy’s big sister in KD, Brigid, set her up with Sam for Bonfire—one of the best functions of the year. Neither of them expected much, let alone to meet their future spouse, but they ended up having the best night ever.
After a few more dates, Sam asked Lucy to be his girlfriend just before leaving to study abroad in Australia for four months. FaceTime quickly became their best friend, and the distance helped them grow even closer. They reunited just in time to finish out senior year together, cheering on Clemson football, hiking, trying new recipes, and frequenting their favorite ice cream shop.
After graduation, they both moved to Chicago—Sam as an accountant and Lucy as a nurse. They fell in love with the city through lakefront walks and discovering new coffee shops. On November 2, 2025, Sam proposed, and they can’t wait to spend the rest of their lives together.
