Picture it: UC Santa Cruz 2007 , On a warm September evening a couple of Resident Assistants (RA), were hosting a bon fire for the incoming freshman. As the young freshmen gather to make their way to the beach, Lucy and her hallmates were introduced to Nick, the handsome, older, boisterous RA. Fast forward to a year later, Nick and Lucy have become friends, hanging out and trash talking basketball teams. In his brilliance he made a bet with Lucy - "If the Lakers win I take you out and if the Lakers lose I take you out," and in his excitement and infinite wisdom he failed to realize that his wager would have him waiting until after winter break to get his date. That's the start of the couples relationship, unfortunately life takes these two banana slugs their separate ways in 2015. As they continue to grow, learn and start their respective careers, fate brought them back together and their friendship rekindled. As their friendship grew stronger, so too did a little spark in their hearts. In the Fall of 2019 these two banana slugs decided to give their love story a second chance. They made it thru a pandemic, adopted two beautiful Husky/German Shepherd pups and bought a house together. Now, come January 9th, 2025, they will make their love story official and they are happy to celebrate this milestone together with all their loved ones.
