Since we are going to be flying to and from Spokane, we would appreciate it if any gifts were bought through our registry or shipped to our home in Provo.

We are being sealed in the Spokane Washington Temple, surrounded by our closest friends and family. It's a small sealing room, so there isn't room for everyone, but we can't wait to see you at the reception or open house!

What is a Temple sealing?

Answer

In our Heavenly Father’s plan of happiness, a husband and wife can be together forever. The authority to unite families forever is called the sealing power. It is the same power that Jesus gave to His Apostles during His ministry on earth (Matthew 16:19). An eternal marriage is therefore called a sealing. Children born or adopted into such eternal marriages can also be sealed to their families forever. A husband and wife who are sealed in the temple make sacred promises (covenants) with the Lord and with each other. These covenants assure them that their relationship will continue after this life if they are true to their commitments.
