Lucy and Jett's story began in the beautiful town of San Marcos, TX. They met through mutual friends while studying at Texas State University, at a classic "River Road Party". Although Lucy had an instant crush on Jett, it was months before her good friend Victoria encouraged Lucy to finally pursue this crush. Fast forward 8 years and Lucy and Jett have decided to solidify their special friendship, companionship, and love for one another. The engagement: When Lucy and Jett began dating, one of their first dates was a day trip to Austin, where they went on a mission to find the Stevie Ray Vaughn statue. It is here where Jett PLANNED to propose. The idea was to eat at a nice Italian restaurant (her favorite) then stroll through Auditorium Shores park where the statue resides. What REALLY happened was Lucy decided to take a nap (she knew something was up and needed her beauty sleep) which resulted in Jett pushing back the dinner reservation. By the time they finished with dinner, it was pitch black outside, and as Jett drove past the park, he decided it was way too dark to go on with the plan. The next day Lucy was in a mood (she thought she would wake up engaged). Jett had to come up with a new plan. They went on with their typical Sunday errands, and went to pick up their curbside groceries. Jett decided he would need help from their pup, Nellie, and brought her along for the ride. After curbside Jett insisted they check out a park nearby, on Lake Travis, where they could walk Nellie. It was at this beautiful Bob Wentz Park where a dog walk along the lake shore led to a romantic sunset proposal (while their groceries melted in the trunk). The couple would like to thank the special people in their lives who have been there along the way. We can't wait to celebrate our marriage with you!
