Dan and Lucy met in 2019 while studying abroad in Edinburgh, Scotland. Between lunch picnics, exploring new restaurants, and plenty of “study dates” (Lucy studying, Dan… less so), they quickly became inseparable. When it came time to head home, they knew this wasn’t just a study-abroad romance. Long distance through senior year—and even through COVID—only confirmed that they wanted to build a life together. Lucy moved to New York City in October 2020, Dan joined her the following spring, and by 2022 they officially moved in together (along with Lucy's beloved troublemaking cat, Max). In April 2025, Dan proposed outside the Lincoln Park Conservatory in Chicago, and Lucy happily said yes. They can’t wait to celebrate with you.
