Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Lucy Wild and Chris Peddecord
We are so excited to share New York City with you! This city is full of many incredible sights, things to do, and places to eat. Below, you will find a list of places that are near and dear to our hearts.
Brooklyn (and sometimes Manhattan)

Brooklyn (and sometimes Manhattan)

Brooklyn, NY 11201

A curated guide to Lucy and Chris's Brooklyn (and sometimes Manhattan). Click this link for the Google Maps directory of the below recommendations (and a few more!)

Brooklyn Botanic Garden

Brooklyn, NY 11238

Botanical oasis in the heart of BK. Our favorite time to go is an hour or so before the garden closes for the evening- the crowds have died down the the light is magic

F&F Pizzeria

459 Court Street, Carroll Gardens, NY 11231

New Haven-style pizza in the heart of Carroll Gardens, a favorite of Lucy and Chris; get a slice of partana!

Sunny's

253 Conover Street, Red Hook, NY 11231

Cash-only neighborhood dive bar. Get a 'Ganset and listen to live music.

Ugly Baby

407 Smith Street, Carroll Gardens, NY 11231

Some of the best Thai food in all of Brooklyn, get a sour beer and prepare to cry.

Gold Star Beer Counter

176 Underhill Avenue, Prospect Heights, NY 11238

Our favorite beer counter in our old neighborhood. Have a pint and listen to some tunes on vinyl. See if you can spot one of our 45 plants that found its permanent home here when we moved.

Oxalis

791 Washington Avenue, Crown Heights, NY 11238

Feeling fancy? Get the pre-fixe and wine pairing for an adventure!

WINNER

367 7th Avenue, Park Slope, NY 11215

Yummy treats, satiating sandwiches, long lines - get there early because they sell out!

Weather Up

589 Vanderbilt Avenue, Prospect Heights, NY 11238

Classy cocktail bar with adventurous drinks. Some of our favorite cocktails have been poured here.

L'Appartement 4F

115 Montague Street, Brooklyn Heights, NY 11201

Best croissant. Grab one (or two or three) and stroll along the brooklyn heights promenade for some skyline views.

R&D Foods

602 Vanderbilt Avenue, Prospect Heights, NY 11238

Grab a KSS egg (Kale Salad Sandwich with an egg) on any weekend day and enjoy Vanderbilt Open Streets. Also recommend ham and cheese or the tofu banh mi. Skip the chicken satay.

Wild East Brewing Co.

623 Sackett Street, Gowanus, NY 11217

If you’re going brewery hopping in Gowanus, Wild East is a must go. Drink some wild fermented beers and play board games with friends.

Olde Brooklyn Bagel Shoppe

645 Vanderbilt Avenue, Prospect Heights, NY 11238

Our corner bagel shop. You can’t go wrong with any bagel shop in nyc, but this one is home to the za’tar bagel and mediocre iced coffee that rivals Dunkins. Lucy’s go to order - sesame bagel with cucumber dill cream cheese.

Grand Army Plaza

Flatbush Avenue, Prospect Heights, NY 11238

The entrance to Prospect Park where we spent most of our evenings and weekends. Stroll through here into the park and experience Brooklyn’s best people watching and nature.

Prospect Park Dog Beach

95 Prospect Park West, Brooklyn, NY 11215

Watch dogs swim. I don't think there's anything else to say.

King David Tacos

611 Bergen Street, Prospect Heights, NY 11238

Very good breakfast tacos. Grab a BPEC if you are a bacon, egg, and cheese lover or opt for the No. 5 for a vegan delight.

Brooklyn Museum

200 Eastern Parkway, Brooklyn, NY 11238

Some arts and culture right in our own BK backyard. Donation based entry to the iconic permanent collections. Grab a Mister Softee on your way out and sit on the steps of the museum.

Row Boat Rental

East Drive, New York, NY 10024

Whether you’re visiting NYC for the first time or 100th time, rowing boats in Central Park is a romantic NYC moment you won’t want to miss out on.

Montero Bar & Grill

73 Atlantic Avenue, Brooklyn Heights, NY 11201

A Brooklyn institution! End your night out with karaoke at Montero's to sing your heart out with strangers in this 10/10 dive bar.
