FAQs

Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

Yes! The most convenient option would be to stay on site at the Jekyll Island Club Resort. There is a booking link under the travel section of our website. All of the events will be held at Crane Cottage, which is on property of the Jekyll Island Club Resort. It is just a 2 minute walk from the main hotel. If you wish to stay somewhere else, there are several hotel options on the island!

Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

Yes! We have a Zola, Williams Sonoma, and Amazon registry all under the registry tab.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

We encourage all guests to wear formal, black tie optional attire. Please try to avoid any jeans or t-shirts. For the girls, please consider that we will be in some grassy areas. I would recommend a comfortable heel!

Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

There will not be any transportation for the ceremony. If you are staying on site at Jekyll Island Club Resort, it is just a few minutes walk from the main hotel. If assistance is required, the hotel gives complimentary golf cart rides upon request!

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony will begin punctually at 4 o'clock in the evening, please arrive no later than 3:50pm or you will sadly miss out on our ceremony. Welcome champagne will be passed around thirty minutes prior at 3:30pm.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

We love your little ones, but our venue capacity is limited, so we’re able to extend invitations only to a few selected children. If your family is on our kid guest list, you’ll receive a separate invitation. Thank you so much for your understanding!

Question

How much do you love Scott?

Answer

A whole lot!

Question

Will the wedding take place indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony and cocktail hour will be held outside. The typical weather in December is in the mid-to-low 60's during the day and drops into the 50's at night. The reception will be tented and we will have plenty of heaters warming up the space. Please consider bringing a light shaw/sweater if you are wearing a dress!
