Our eyes met several times when protesting in support of BLM, but we were too focused on the cause to deviate to each other. Thankfully, one late night out we met again and after a few drinks and a lot of laughter we couldn't get enough of each other.
Lucien planned the proposal to occur during our family visit, and there was a lot of slip ups where it was almost leaked. However, Renée was oblivious and it all went according to plan. During a trip to Universal Studios, on the last ride of the night (with the fireworks going off at Disney) Lucien proposed right before The Hulk rollercoaster did its first drop. When the ride finally stopped she said yes!
