Car

If driving to Cherry Grove, be aware there are no roads or streets in Cherry Grove. Please set your driving destination to Sayville Ferry Service, there will be a private parking lot available right across the ferry terminal. Once at the Ferry Station, you will find two terminals, one for Cherry Grove and one for The Pines. Please make sure to embark the ferry to Cherry Grove.

Train

LIRR

If traveling by train, please take the Eastbound train to Sayville. Be mindful, it may imply a transfer in either Jamaica Station or Babylon Station. You can get your train ticket in advance by downloading the LIRR app or at a ticket dispenser kiosk at the boarding station. Travel Time: 90 minutes depending on the train.

Shuttle

Once you arrive to Sayville Train Station

The white shuttle bus will always be waiting at the Sayville Train Station ready to take you to the Ferry. In order to distinguish it, just follow all the other homosexuals. Please be prepared, the driver will collect the $5 fare in cash before boarding the shuttle. Travel Time: 10 minutes

The Ferry Station will have two departure platforms, one for Cherry Grove and one for The Pines. Make sure to board the ferry to Cherry Grove. Please get your tickets before the boarding time at the office or booth. Fare can be paid in cash or card. The ticket is only available to purchase at the Ferry Station. Travel time: 20 minutes

Cherry Grove

WELCOME TO CHERRY GROVE! Cherry Grove is a small and inclusive LGBTQI+ Community. There are no roads or streets in Cherry Grove, everything is located at a walkable distance through the boardwalks. Bring cash since some business will run on a cash-only basis. Although the beach at Cherry Grove is not an official nude beach, this is common practice of visitors and locals.

Hotel

The Grove Hotel

The Grove Hotel is the largest hotel in Cherry Grove. It is located 5 minutes away walking from the Ferry Dock. The Hotel will have three types of rooms: Standard, Double and Corners Standard will fit up to two (2) guests. Double will fit up to four (4) guests. Corner will fit up to two (2) guests. Standard room will have one full size bed. Double room will have one full size bed and a full size pull-out couch. Corner room will have a queen size bed. Balcony rooms have the same characteristics but will include a small Juliet balcony facing the pool. Be aware rooms facing the pool will also face the nightclub. Once booked, feel free to call the hotel and ask if your room can be placed in the “quieter” side, facing the back of the hotel. They will help you depending on the availability. The Hotel will require full payment upfront. Once there, in order to check-in you will need a valid Government ID and a $10 key deposit in cash. The Grove Hotel is pet friendly.
