A decade together

We were introduced by our best friends Paola & Clideen as each other's blind date for Valentine's Day. It was supposed to be a blind date, but both of us had already spied on each other's pictures before we met. We had our first date and were both really shy, but over time we realized how much we both had in common and how we shared the same goals and interests. We continued to date and made our relationship official on March 05, 2010. We have supported one another and not left each other's side over the past years. We are excited to be celebrating this decade together!

The proposal took place at the Senso-ji Temple during our Tokyo, Japan trip. It had been a dream for both of us to visit Japan one day and finally made it happen for our 9th year anniversary on March 05, 2019. Jacob had asked another tourist to take pictures of us in front of the temple with no idea that Jacob was about to propose. This individual also happened to be a photographer and took some engagement pictures of us at the time of the proposal (the top picture is taken in front of the Senso-ji temple).
