Our love story began in June of 2014. We were high school sweethearts who have lived a classic cheerleader and football love story. Our journey began in childhood, which has allowed us to grow together and fortify our bond through the years. From the first moment we met, it felt as though we were destined to be together. Now, nearly a decade later, we still find ourselves learning from each other, discovering new layers of our relationship, and deepening our understanding of what it means to love and support one another.

I took her to Vegas on what she thought was a celebration of our 8-year anniversary, believing it would be a romantic getaway. On our way to Vegas, we stopped by a Chinese restaurant to grab a quick bite. As she opened her fortune cookie and read the message, "You'll soon be on top of the world," I felt a rush of excitement and I chuckled at the coincidence. To her surprise, I booked a sky suite penthouse at the Aria overlooking the strip, and the restaurant I made reservations for months in advance was named "TOP OF THE WORLD". It added an extra layer of magic to our journey as we made our way to Las Vegas. As we arrived at our penthouse suite I watched her face light up realizing how special this trip was going to be. The ambiance was perfect, with the city's energy right outside our door. As we prepared to head to the Top of the World restaurant, I felt the excitement building. She thought we were simply celebrating our love, but I was ready to elevate that love to new heights literally and figuratively. I expressed how much she meant to me, sharing memories and dreams of our future. Then, with a deep breath, I knelt on one knee, pulled out the ring, and asked her to marry me. With shock and excitement, she said yes. In that moment the lights of Las Vegas felt like they were shining on us, it felt like it was pulled straight from a movie.
