What should I wear? Is there a dress code?

Answer

The dress code for our wedding is semi-formal/cocktail attire in shades of Blue. Think (shades of Blue) cocktail dresses or a (shades of Blue) suit and tie or a sports coat.

Where are the ceremony and the reception taking place?

Answer

The ceremony and reception will both be taking place aboard the Odyssey Chicago River. The ceremony is scheduled to occur outside at the bow of the boat while the boat is docked and the reception will take place inside the boat with a scheduled departure of 11:30am.

What will the weather be like this time of year?

Answer

August in Chicago is expected to beautiful and warm! However, in the event of any inclement weather, the wedding ceremony will be moved inside the boat.

What time should I arrive?

Answer

Please plan to arrive by 9:30am as guest boarding will promptly begin at 10am.

Where should guests park? Is parking free?

Answer

Are kids welcome?

Answer

While we love your little ones, our wedding will be an adults-only event so that everyone can relax and enjoy the afternoon. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time and leaving the kids at home so you can celebrate with us.

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

Unfortunately, we have a strict guest list to stay on budget. Our celebration is strictly RSVP only. We will only be able to accommodate those listed on your wedding invitation.

When is the RSVP deadline? Do I need to mail back my RSVP or can I do it online?

Answer

Thank you in advance for submitting your RSVP before April 31, 2024. You can RSVP right here on our wedding website.

Will there be food and drinks during cocktail hour?

Answer

After the wedding ceremony, we will be serving light hors d’oeuvres accompanied by an open bar. We invite you to toast to our nuptials with a curated selection of wine, beer and signature cocktails.

Will brunch be served at the reception? What kind of food?

Answer

Brunch menu with the option of bottomless mimosas and/or full bar will be served during the reception.

Will there be any vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free or special diet options?

Answer

Brunch menu will include V - Vegetarian; VG - Vegan; and G* - Gluten Free options. Before placing your order, please inform your server if a person in your party has a food allergy.
