Lucas and I met online, we were planning on meeting on a Monday for dinner but Sunday he asked me to meet him at a downtown event called Polar Plunge in New Baltimore, MI. I ended up meeting him and many of his friends that night. We then went to Finns and had dinner and it was going so well we even went to his parent’s house after. They were having a family get together and I met everyone from grandparents to aunts and uncles. I knew pretty instantly we were raised similar. We still go back to Polar Plunge every year with friends and enjoy the event we met at! We also often eat the very table we had our first dinner at Finns.

Our great friend Alex was coming home from school so we were going to Blakes Apple Orchard. Our friends Chad, Alex, Tristan and Danielle were with us and Chad told me he just had to have an apple before dinner and drinks. So we went back to the apple trees to find they close them down in the evenings and we couldn’t be back there. After Chad was on the phone with his mom for what seemed like forever as we walked up front. Finally we get up front and he is still acting so weird looking for apples in trees that aren’t apple trees. Then his weird behavior became even more suspicious he said “If this were an apple tree this is where i would pick my apple from”. Lucas then grabbed my hand and said “lets go look”,little did i know this was the hint saying this is the tree to pop the question! Lucas then got on his knee and asked me to marry him. Little did i know at the time Chad didnt want an apple he was trying to find the apple tree row so Lucas could get a great proposal shot at the orchard. Also our parents were on the phone not his mom! They were trying to follow along to see our special moment. In true Lucas fashion I had absolutely no clue i was going to be engaged that day and it was absolutely everything i ever dreamed of! We celebrated with dinner at Finns(our first date resturant) with friends and family.
