We met on move in day at Husson University when we were both starting our freshman year. I was walking through the campus center with some friends a little lost when Lucas took the opportunity to show us around. We had mutual friends and saw each other around campus and ate together at the dining hall a lot. Finally, Lucas asked me on our first date! We watched a movie, ate popcorn, and drank juice pouches, it was adorable. Then he asked me on a more official dinner date. After that we dated for 4 years until he got down on one knee on December 16, 2018. After a cancelled flight home and having to find a new flight I finally made it to Bangor to visit him when he set up a scavenger hunt with meaningful places and people in it for the both of us, with the end being him asking me to marry him. I said yes of course! Then, on August 17, 2019 we tied the knot with close family nearby at Pemaquid Point, ME before he left for Officer Training School for the Marines. Our relationship has made it through various obstacles and lots of distance as he has been pursuing his career as a Marine and I have been pursuing mine as a Physician Assistant. Now that we will both be done with our education/training we want to celebrate and tie the knot again with more family and friends and celebrate as I change my name, we start our lives together, and do so under God's roof in the church. We are excited to celebrate with those we love and cannot wait! -Samantha
