We met during the summer of 2022 before starting our freshman year at Montana Tech. Roslyn had been in Butte for several weeks, and I was just moving into the dorms. We had talked previously on social media; however, we were unsure how things would go. Upon entering the dorms, Roslyn met my family and I. She claims I was awkward and shy. I have always blamed it on my fear of being on my own, but the truth is I was just amazed by her from the moment I saw her. After overcoming my awkwardness, manning up, and finally talking to her, we became best friends and the rest is history.

During Christmas in 2024, we spent time with each of our families. That evening we decided to go for a drive to Mt. Spokane, and in the darkness and snow we inevitably got. After an hour of driving in the wrong direction we decided to go find a lookout point over Spokane to see the city lights, we were out looking at the stars and the city lights when he got down on one knee.
