We had known each other throughout childhood, crossing paths over the years as acquaintances, always familiar but never quite in the right place at the right time. It wasn’t until 2020, when the pandemic brought us home and the world slowed down, that everything changed, and our invisible string became more apparent. What began as a simple catch-up quickly turned into long conversations during long lake days, night swims, walks with Jo, and just enjoying each others presence. This summer we became truly inseparable. When college resumed the following semester, we took on long distance, learning how to make miles feel smaller through weekend visits, late-night phone calls, and a lot of patience. That commitment carried us through graduation, after which we moved to Colorado to start our next chapter together. Life had a few more twists in store when Lucas moved back to Virginia, and we faced another year of long distance, this time with even more certainty that we were building something lasting. Eventually, Colorado brought us back together for good. Once reunited, we settled into life side by side, and soon after welcomed our greatest joy yet: Solomon. Today, we are exactly where we’re meant to be, together and building a life with our growing family. We cannot wait to finally get to celebrate our love and future with the people that led us to where we are today.
