What do I wear??

What makes you comfortable?? The weekend contains some range. For daytimes and non-wedding specific events, think Summer Camp, but in May. Wear what you feel great in!! For Friday's Welcome Dinner, think semi-formal/cocktail hour/garden party at the Gatsby's. For Saturday's Ceremony and Reception, break out your best! This isn't necessarily a black tie affair, and obviously don't wear White, but how often do you get to stunt?? Feel free to check out our mood board (above) for inspiration, and if you're looking for any other specific guidance, lean Cocktail or Formal.

What do I bring??

This section is more about the things that are specific to a wedding at Camp Green Lane. As for the wedding itself, bring all the things you'd want to bring to any other wedding, we trust your judgment. Okay here goes: - Pillow and Sleeping bag (we'll have sheets and pillow cases) - Snacks for your cabin! (we'll have meals) - A hoodie or sweater (it's May by the lake - it'll get chilly a night!) - A bathing suit and towel!!! - Tissues (we're gonna try really hard to make everyone cry)

What's the Timeline??

Though the wedding itself is on Saturday, May 18th, we've got Camp Green Lane for the whole weekend, and we would love to have you for as much of it as possible!! You're invited to: Friday, May 17th: Evening Welcome Dinner!! Saturday: This is an all day scenario!! Ceremony in Late Afternoon, Reception to follow (after party to follow follow)!! Sunday: Farewell Brunch!! You'll be able to RSVP to each day individually once you receive your invitation!!

What's the vibe??

Most of the weekend will be just plain ole' Summer Camp fun! There's a Lake! There's Games! It's really pretty! We'll have some fun in the Sun during daytimes and bonfires at nights. Plus, there'll be a wedding! There will NOT be mining for fools' gold in any streams.

Please check your invitation! We love Love, and we wish everyone could bring their Loves, but because of venue limitations, we won't be able to make room for everyone. When you RSVP in the "RSVP" tab of this website, your whole party's names will be listed!

What about travel?? And lodging??

Check out the "Travel and Accomodations" page of this website! This is the big part though: we would love for as many folks as possible to stay onsite at Camp Green Lane, where there are two different types of lodging accommodations, and a ton of activities you'll be able to engage in! If, however, summer camp isn't your thing, we did book a hotel block as well. All of that information is available over at that tab!

What's the food situation??

Camp Green Lane will be serving up breakfast, lunch, and dinner for all guests staying on site with us (starting with Friday's welcome dinner). Even if you're not staying at Camp Green Lane, you'll be able to join for Friday's Welcome Dinner, Saturday's Reception Dinner, and Sunday's Brunch. On Friday, there will be an Open Wine and Beer Bar at the Welcome Dinner. On Saturday, there will be an Open Bar, including two Signature Cocktails, starting at Cocktail Hour!! Feel free to bring Cabin Snacks if you plan to get Snacky, and a Cooler if you plan to get Day-Drinky!!

What should I expect of a queer wedding??

Answer

Well-- definitely some queer people!! You should probably expect some loud outfits and some atypical dance moves, but mostly you should expect to meet some of the most genuinely warm and caring souls existing in and around the Greater Philadelphia area. You should expect some pins worn on lapels, with folks' pronouns on them, and you should expect to be held accountable to use those pronouns! You should expect vibrant and unabashed displays of love in the most comprehensive sense of the word. What we're really saying, and this is especially true for *this* queer wedding, is if you've ever thought: "man, I like queer people, but I wish they weren't so in your face about it!," you can expect to have a Bad Time™.
