We never decided on 'our song' we just mutually agreed to one without talking about it. On April 14, 2023, we went to Omaha Nebraska for the Kane Brown concert on the 15th for Lucas' birthday. We had matching shirts made with lyrics from Kane Brown's song Thank God and our anniversary date. On the way to the arena we had to stop by the dollar store so Susie could get some gum, this is important for later. The arena had a clear bag policy, which didn't affect me at all, or so I thought. The second to last song of the night was Thank God, this was when it all began. I asked Susie and Aubree to take a video of Lucas and me dancing to this song. Well, Lucas proposed, it was dark so I couldn't see the ring, it was also loud so I couldn't hear. I don't remember the last two songs, I remember almost passing out, thankfully Aubree was behind me, and I said "No.....are you serious" over and over before finally saying yes. Once the concert was over we went to the bathroom where I sat in the stall for about 5 minutes staring at my ring. I finally broke out of my trance and left the stall, on the way out I said, "WOW I'M ENGAGED!" to which everyone in the bathroom laughed and congratulated me. While we walked back to the car I remember Aiden being so excited saying things like "wow my brothers getting married" to which Tim and Susie had to call him away to give us some time together. Once we got to the Airbnb we took some pictures and watched the videos of us dancing and the proposal. In one video Tim can be seen hitting the back of random people, in cowboy hats, to get them to turn and see and scream with us. This was where I learned Susie needed the gum to be put in front of the ring box so I wouldn't see it. Before the gum, we had a few conversations with the box on full display, during all of which I never noticed the ring box. From there the journey of wedding planning began.
