Upon her arrival, her father took her to visit dear friends of their family. There, the maiden met a kind and wise woman who, unbeknownst to her, would one day become her mother-in-law. The two kindred spirits bonded over their love of capturing moments with enchanted picture-boxes, and soon, the woman invited the maiden to witness her brave son in battle. Though the warrior did not claim victory that day, he unknowingly won something far greater—the gaze of the maiden who would one day be his bride. A moon’s turn later, the maiden and the warrior met once more, this time in celebration of the warrior’s 27th year. With a merry heart and a goblet in hand, he offered to train the maiden in the ways of battle, and so their tale of love began. Day by day, the warrior taught the maiden his skills, until she too stood strong as a warrior in her own right. But soon, the maiden had to return to her distant homeland in the faraway land of Tennessee. Their hearts ached at the parting, and so they wrote each other letters carried by the swiftest of messengers. Yet, the warrior’s longing grew too great, and with his loyal goblin companion at his side, he set forth on a grand journey across mountains and valleys to be reunited with his love. Two years passed, and together, the warrior, the maiden, and the mischievous goblin built a joyful home—a castle of their own. And so, one fateful day, with the blessing of his loyal goblin, the warrior knelt before the maiden and asked for her hand. With laughter and tears of joy, she accepted, sealing their happily ever after. And on the twelfth day of September in the year 2025, the warrior, the maiden, and the goblin will embark on the greatest adventure of all—a lifetime of love, laughter, and magic ever after.
