Sister and Friend. ----- The person with whom I have the most memories. She is the most patient person I know and loves unconditionally. Steph has always let me act like the oldest child even though she is. I'm happy to say that there's way more love and a lot less fighting between the two of us than there used to be. The "Lau sisters" are known for having their fair share of blonde moments and saying the exact same thing at the exact same time. Steph currently lives in Eau Claire, WI with her husband, Luke.

Brother. Friend. Role model. ---- Uncle Turd Ferguson (as he's now called by his nieces and nephews) was the best present I could have ever received when Mom and Dad brought him home from the hospital on my 5th birthday. Since then I've been coming to terms with the fact that he's just as (but not more) intelligent, good looking, talented and charming as I am. He always pushes me to learn, to grow, and to improve myself (especially when we're competing). Adam and his wife, Jadyn (one of the bridesmaids), reside in the Milwaukee, WI area.

Friend & soon-to-be Sister (Lucas's Sister) ---- The first Brown that I loved. We shared a house together for a semester of college and have been best friends ever since. This is also when I met Lucas so I suppose she gets some credit for Lucas and I being together. Angela "Ang" currently lives in Altoona, WI with her husband, Andrew, and their two children.

Friend. Trusted Advisor. ---- Tom and I met on a bus at church camp and spent 16 summers making camp memories and building an unbreakable bond of friendship. Tom now lives near Detroit, MI with his wife, Ashley, and their two children.
Jadyn Brown

Friend and soon-to-be Sister. (Best man's wife). ---- My sidekick in figuring out what it means to join the Brown/Schmidt family. I was actually Jadyn's High School volleyball coach for a couple of seasons. Don't tell her this, but she was my favorite player to coach. I know that I'll enjoy being her sister. Jadyn and her husband, Adam, currently live in the Milwaukee, WI area.

Cousin. Lifelong friend. ---- Ross enjoyed nearly three months of life before I was born as his little cousin. From that point until we attended different high schools, we were seldom apart for more than a few days at a time. Ross and his wife, Emily, now (also) call Phoenix, AZ their home.

Friend. Travel Companion #1 ---- The easiest person to travel with because of her easy-going personality. Our friendship formed on a Mission Trip to Africa. We've since done another Mission Trip to Nepal and backpacked the Grand Canyon. Can't wait for whatever's next! Lydia currently resides in Pewaukee, WI.

College friend. Future elk hunting partner. ---- Evan and I met during the last week of our sophomore year at UW-La Crosse. Until I left for an internship in AZ, I spent many hours on the futon at Evan, Pher and JR's apartment. He's always been a source of inspiration, encouragement and adventure. Evan now lives in Portland, OR with his wife, Ali, and their son.

Friend. Travel Companion #2 ---- Someone I just have so much in common with. In High School we were often mistaken for each other. Our friendship formed in Nepal doing the things we love - teaching kids about Jesus and seeing beautiful places. Dani currently resides in Minneapolis, MN.

High school friend. Instigator of fun times and adventures. ---- Koop was one year ahead of me in high school where we played football and baseball together. In 2011 we took a road trip to Alaska. We traveled over 10,000 miles and we were still friends when we got home. When he is around, you can assume a good time is sure to follow. Koop now lives in Great Falls, MT.

High school friend. "That's my quarterback!" ---- Brett was my quarterback and he'll never let me forget (I don't blame him) that one pass I dropped against Tri-County our senior year. I like to remind him that I was the only reason he passed geometry. Outside of class and off the field we could often be found together watching sports, playing Madden, or hanging out with friends. We don't see much of each other these days, but when we get together we never miss a beat. Brett now lives in Oshkosh, WI.

High school friend. Never a dull moment with this one. ---- Throughout high school we drank too much Mountain Dew and ate too much frozen pizza after school/sports practices at Scott's house. We generally stayed out of trouble and always had fun. Scott is always good for a laugh and is one of the most loyal friends anyone could ask for. Scott lives in Markesan, WI with his wife, Kelli, and their daughter.

High school friend. Imposing body guard. ---- Since 2005 Tim has been one of my closest friends and biggest supporters. As teenagers in a small town one of our go-to activities was just going for a drive around the county -- something we did many times in Tim's parents' vehicles. Those drives solidified a strong bond of trust and friendship. Tim lives in Oshkosh, WI with his wife, Katie (for whom I played matchmaker), and their five children.
