Luke and Emily met through mutual friends. It was like meeting someone you’ve known for a very long time, for the first time. There was a magnetic pull. An immediate fondness. A recognizing, like the other half of one’s soul was found. A realization that this person would be a safe place for a really long time. Through a lot of laughs, sunsets, bonfires and adventures, Luke and Emily discovered numerous things in common. From their love of traveling to the love of Black Cherry Waterloos, there were many “you too?!” moments. Luke and Emily found deep friendship and companionship. Although hesitancy and fear due to the past caused a slow start, eventually Luke and Emily surrendered to the pull towards one another, and found that the other’s heart is exactly where they wanted to be. As they continue on their journey together, their bond continues to strengthen, as they honor each other with love, gentleness and patience. Already lifelong friends and partners, they will now be able to call each other husband and wife, thankful that God proves Himself faithful in the right time, and that He always gives good gifts. Luke and Emily are looking forward to celebrating with you this September!
