Emily and Lucas actually met all the way back in kindergarten and were even in the same first grade class. According to Lucas, Emily tried to kiss him on the playground one recess (Emily doubts this story). Unfortunately Emily left Latimer and transferred to Tariffville elementary and the two didn’t see each other again until middle school. Through middle school and high Emily and Lucas remained friendly acquaintances sharing some classes together and some interests like the cooking classes and rugby. Then mid August, 2013 right before college was to start, Lucas walked into five guys for some lunch and ran into Emily who was working there, as he waited for his food, he made a decision and asked her out to the movies. Emily and Lucas spent the next couple of weeks before college talking and hanging out as much as possible, but then college started and life happened and the two lost touch. It wasn’t until January of 2017 that Emily and Lucas reconnected on a dating app. Lucas had just moved back from Florida and the two decided to meet and catch up. They met up at a local coffee shop and talked until closing, falling right back into their friendship. Emily and Lucas spent time reconnecting and settling in life before Lucas officially asked her out in June of 2018. Since then Emily and Lucas have spent the past few years building their lives and growing together. They love to go to movies, travel (especially around New England), hike, workout together, and spend time with their two cats ( Rooster and Almond) and Emily’s daughter Melanie. They are so excited to start their next journey and cannot wait to celebrate with you.
