Question

Congratulations!! When is the Wedding and the Reception?

Answer

The Wedding Ceremony is taking place on Valentine's Day Sunday February 14th 2027 at 12PM at Disney's Wedding Pavilion, located near the Grand Floridian Resort. The Reception will take place the next morning on Monday February 15th at California Grill at Disney's Contemporary Resort at 10:30AM and will end at 2:30PM. Other events will be announced leading up to the wedding next year as they are booked.

Question

If I'm traveling down, what should I prepare to cover?

Answer

If you are travelling down, please prepare to cover flights and hotel accommodations, as well as your meals that do not include the Brunch Reception, and tickets to the Walt Disney World parks.

Question

What date should I travel down?

Answer

To attend, we recommend traveling down, at the latest, on February 13th, and recommend arriving sometime in the afternoon. We recommend staying through February 15th at the earliest to attend our Brunch Reception before making any plans to go home.

Question

What Resorts are covered under the Room Block rate?

Answer

We have picked three Resorts that have specific rooms set aside for folks to reserve. These resorts represent some of our favorites in each tier & price point, they are: Disney's Contemporary Resort (Deluxe) Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort (Moderate) Disney's Pop Century Resort (Value) As a special perk, you can book up to five nights under our Room Block discounts, and you will be given access to discounts on Tickets to the four Disney parks when you make your reservations! (We recommend Caribbean Beach Resort personally, it's our favorite!)

Question

Okay but do I need to buy park tickets to attend the wedding?

Answer

Nope! All wedding related events are happening on Walt Disney World Park Property, but these areas are open to the public! Only areas that require tickets are Magic Kingdom Park, Disney's Hollywood Studios, Epcot, and Disney's Animal Kingdom. Please purchase only if you want to spend some time in one of the parks!

Question

Well, do I need to stay on park property?

Answer

Short answer, no! There is no official requirement to stay on property. However, we do not recommend staying off property for a variety of reasons: It does not count towards our room block and you would not be eligible for those discounts. To be eligible for the Room Block Rate, it must be a WDW Resort. Traffic in Orlando is terrible and driving is difficult if you are not used to it. Uber-ing into the parks is also very expensive. Staying at a WDW Resort means you have access to their public transportation and getting to and from wedding events will be much easier, especially if we are able to find wedding specific shuttling to events. (Stay tuned, we are figuring that part out.) In short: You would be on your own for transportation if you stay outside of what they call "the Disney Bubble", and you would not have access to our Room Block and associated discounts.

Question

Tell us about the dress code, what is "Out-Do-The-Grooms"?

Answer

"Out-Do-The-Grooms" is a new trend to encourage guests to wear fun clothes to the wedding event in an effort to stand out from the grooms. The stipulations are that they must be appropriate for a wedding and must be wearable in public. We just want our guests to feel like their best selves and feel confident and comfortable in what they are wearing. (Please note: We would prefer no plain streetwear, keep it fun and elevated if that makes sense! It is still a wedding after all!)

Question

Do I need to white to the wedding events?

Answer

Yes, this is non-negotiable!

Question

Can they accommodate any dietary needs or allergies at the reception?

Answer

Absolutely! As the event gets closer, we will be asked by our wedding planner to gather all the information on dietary accommodations and allergies for our guests to give to the Chef. After that, they will take care of every detail. It's part of the Disney magic, our day-of-coordinators and dining staff will know your name, wear you're sitting, what your needs and requests are, and make sure you are well taken care of so you don't need to stress over enjoying the food. We have many different dietary needs and have never gotten ill or gotten a reaction on park property, it's pretty incredible!

Question

What should I bring for gifts?

Answer

In lieu of gifts, please consider donating to our Wedding-Moon fund! The link to the registry is in the registry tab and can be found at the top of the page.
