From the very first moments with Lucas, I knew he was someone special. One of our first dates was at a steakhouse, and I’d never been on anything so nice. We also enjoyed couples massages, tried my favorite Mexican restaurant (I love tacos!), and I spent many evenings cooking for him and Evie—sharing meals has always felt like a way to care for them and nurture our little family. My mom always taught me that the way to a man’s heart is through his stomach (LOL), and I’ve loved putting that into practice. Those early days were full of laughter, conversation, and the kind of connection that makes you feel like you’ve known someone forever. Meeting his daughter, Evangeline, before her second birthday was an incredible blessing. She is my sweet bonus baby, and every day with her is full of joy and wonder. I love our mornings together—making breakfast, coloring, singing, dancing, and enjoying all the little moments of our day. I try to guide her with love, keep her on a healthy schedule, and nurture her curiosity, and in return, she has taught me so much about patience, joy, and what it means to be part of a family. Evie’s presence in my life has inspired me to be my best self, and Lucas’s devotion to her—and to me—reminds me every day what it means to love and be loved fully. Lucas has always dreamed of creating a home filled with love, faith, and stability for our family. He is hardworking, kind, funny, and incredibly devoted to all of us. Watching him step up as a father and partner, and seeing how much he gives of himself to Evie and me, has been one of the most admirable things I’ve witnessed. I treasure the moments we share: cuddling before bed, praying together as a family, and simply being present with one another. Faith has been the cornerstone of our relationship. When I met Lucas, I was beginning to reconnect with my faith, and he gently guided me back. He leads our family in prayer, brings us to church, and inspires me daily through his devotion. Our shared values and faith have strengthened our bond, and we truly feel that God brought us together for a reason—we were meant to find each other and build this life as a family. We feel so blessed to be surrounded by the love and support of our families as we prepare for this day. My parents have gone above and beyond to help make this wedding truly special, and they have welcomed Evie with open hearts as Gigi and Gpa. Their encouragement, care, and generosity mean the world to us. We are also thankful for Lucas’s family, whose presence adds to the joy of this celebration. Every person who has shared in our journey has helped shape the family we are becoming, and we feel blessed to share this moment with all of them. Every day with Lucas and Evie feels like a gift. I cherish the mornings, the laughter, the shared meals, the beautiful chaos, and the routines we are creating together. We cannot wait to continue this journey as a family, hand in hand, building a home filled with love, faith, and joy, and celebrating the blessings God has given us along the way.
