Question

What all am I invited to do?

Answer

All of our guests are invited to join us for the entire weekend from Friday afternoon to Sunday afternoon. In addition to the wedding on Saturday, you have the option of sleeping in the cabins, participating in camp activities, and joining us for meals throughout the weekend.

Question

Do I have to stay at the camp to participate in weekend activities?

Answer

Absolutely not! If not staying at camp, we suggest staying at the Best Western (about 12 minutes away). If you are choosing to stay at a hotel or Airbnb, you are still welcome to join us for the weekend activities and mealtimes. Our only request is that you RSVP to all activities either way so that we can get an accurate headcount.

Question

What are the camp cabins like?

Answer

Each cabin has single bunkbeds, bathrooms, showers, outlets, and space heaters when necessary. Feel free to check out www.campfriendship.com/retreats/lodging/ for more pictures of the cabins or www.campfriendship.com/about/tour/ for a virtual tour of the inside of the cabins.

Question

How do I reserve a spot in a cabin?

Answer

You'll reserve a spot by RSVPing "Yes" to "Camp Check-in" on our wedding website. Ariel and Lucas will get you set up in a cabin from there.

Question

What else should I know if I'm planning to stay at the camp for the weekend?

Answer

If you are interested in staying at the camp, there are a few things to note: You will be responsible for bringing your own linens, towel, and pillows.* It will cost $50 a night per person to stay in the cabins. Lucas and Ariel will assign people to their cabins. Cabin assignments will be based on who you know - don't worry, we won't put you with total strangers! Also, all beds are twin, and they can't be moved together. *The camp has a limited amount of bed linens available for use. We will reserve these for guests flying in for the wedding (please just let us know if you are flying in and would like to take advantage of these).

Question

Are children invited?

Answer

No. We LOVE kids, but we have decided to make this a child-free weekend.

Question

Is there parking at Camp Friendship?

Answer

Yes, there is plenty of parking if you are driving in for the weekend. There will be camp staff directing you on where to park. If you are staying with us, your car will be closer to where your cabin is. If you are just attending the wedding on Saturday, the Camp Staff will show you where to park.

Question

How much walking will I have to do at the camp?

Answer

Everything at camp is within a 5-10 minute walk. Some of it will be on unpaved trails, so wear appropriate footwear! (Stillettos can be safely left at home.) If you need special accommodations, let us know and we can assist!

Question

What do I need to bring if I'm staying at camp?

Answer

Great question! Please visit the Packing List page of our site for a full list, but you should generally plan to bring a pillow, linens (twin sheets & towels), toiletries, and WARM LAYERS (it will get cold!).

Question

How do I pay to stay at Camp Friendship?

Answer

You can Venmo Lucas or Ariel (the cost is $50 per person, per night), and we will pay Camp Friendship.

Question

Will I be responsible for my own meals?

Answer

Nope! We are providing dinner for all who are interested on Friday night, brunch on Saturday for anyone interested, of course the dinner for the big event Saturday night, and a farewell brunch on Sunday, and lots of S’Mores! To help us with numbers, please RSVP to ALL events under the RSVP tab. Feel free to bring any camp snacks that you’d like to keep in your bunk.

Question

Will adult beverages be provided?

Answer

We are providing alcoholic beverages for the wedding on Saturday and beer and wine will be served at dinner on Friday night. However, with our alcohol license, the whole weekend is open container. We will provide canoes with ice and some beer, but please feel free to bring any specific liquor, mixers, wine, or beer that you’d like to enjoy throughout the entire weekend. Feel free to bring a cooler of whatever you’d like that you can keep in your bunk or throughout camp.

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

For the ceremony and reception, we’d suggest dressy casual. For women, this might be something like a midi dress and low block heels or sandals; for men, this could be something like dress pants and a jacket. **Please make sure you wear shoes you are comfortable walking in!** The rest of the weekend is casual (jeans are fine!) - just make sure to bring warm layers as it will get cold at night.

Question

What camp activities will be provided?

Answer

Throughout the weekend, you will have opportunity to participate in camp activities such as a ropes course, archery, volleyball, tennis, hiking, fishing, and canoeing and kayaking!

Question

Will there be shuttles for those not staying at the camp?

Answer

Yes! We will have shuttles to pick people up from both the Best Western and Prospect Hill on Saturday and bring them to the camp in time for the ceremony (pickup times will be 2:30pm and 3:30pm from both locations. The shuttles will also take people back to the Best Western and Prospect Hill at the end of the night (departure times will be (9:15pm and 10:15pm).
