Flights to Kenya

We will be recommending a flight from the USA to Kenya below via Qatar Airways. For this specific flight, Lucas will be serving as the travel guide to coordinate and assist folks as necessary if they don't have much travel experience. However, if you are comfortable with flying on your own you are free to take any convenient flight to Kenya. If you choose to fly on a separate flight please be sure to arrive in Nairobi in time for the welcome dinner.

Flight to Homa Bay

We will be flying from Nairobi to Kisumu/Homa Bay for the Nyombo. While we would prefer to fly directly to Homa Bay, the Homa Bay airport is currently undergoing renovations, and we are awaiting further information on when it will reopen. If this airport is not available, our backup plan is to fly to Kisumu International Airport. More details will be available at a later date.

Travel Note

Airport Information:

International flights in Nairobi will be through Jomo Kenyatta International Airport. Domestic Flights will be through Wilson Airport in Nairobi. There are 2 airports near Abby's Mom's house in Homa Bay that you can travel to. Homa Bay Airstrip is closest to the home. This airstrip is currently undergoing renovations and we do not have information at this time on when it will reopen. We shall update you as we get more information. Kisumu International Airport will be further away from Abby's Mom's house - approximately 2 hours away from Homa Bay.
