Old Sacramento
Old Sacramento is filled with cute restaurants and little shops! It's right by the Sacramento River and is one of Emily and Luca's favorite spots!
DOCO - Downtown Commons
DOCO (The Downtown Commons) is a fun place to visit! It houses the arena for the Sacramento Kings as well as many fun shops, restaurants, and bars. Before the pandemic, one of Emily's favorite places to go with her friends was Punch Bowl Social! One of Emily and Luca's first dates was at The Bank, a cool bar and hangout spot made from an old bank that is a block away. The DOCO area is a great spot to go if you're looking for a lot of things to do without having to drive.
Sacramento Zoo
The Sacramento Zoo is a fun place to visit if you have kids or love animals! Luca took Emily here for her 32nd birthday and it was a blast!
California State Capitol Museum
The California State Capitol building is a fun place to walk around. It is very close to DOCO and other cool shops and restaurants.
Clarksburg
Clarksburg is full of cute wineries and is a very short drive from downtown Sacramento (just about 20 minutes). Luca and Emily will be getting married at The Old Sugar Mill, which is one of the many wonderful wineries Clarksburg has to offer!
Amador County
Amador County is another great place if you're looking for wineries, but wanted something different from the normal Napa trip. It is an hour drive from Sacramento and is a favorite spot for many of the local wedding party members. Some of their favorites include Rombauer, Ronquist, Turley, and Dobra Zemlja.
Hidden Falls Regional Park
This is where Luca proposed to Emily! It is about an hour drive. It's a wonderful hiking spot for beginners and their go-to place to be in nature.
Napa
Napa is home to many great wineries. It is an hour drive from Sacramento and is a great place to go if you want to get out of town and enjoy some wine.
