Travel Note
Unless entering with a Colombian or Haitian passport, you do not require a visa to enter Nicaragua for less than 90 days. Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months prior to the expiration date to enter the country. At customs you will be asked to pay $10 in cash for the tourist visa card. For the sake of a seamless entry to the country, please AVOID bringing any NON-ESSENTIAL ELECTRONICS! For example, if possible, only bring one phone and one laptop per person. Do not bring any video game consoles, professional cameras, etc. If you find the need to bring a second laptop (for work), you will be asked at customs to prove that it is a work laptop.

COVID: If you are vaccinated, Nicaragua does not require a negative covid test for you to enter the country, but you will be asked to present your Vaccination card with at least 2 doses of any brand. Adults and children that are not vaccinated will have to present a negative covid test taken no more than 72 hours before entering the country. NOTE: Please bring a mask or two, as there are some areas/businesses that still require the usage of masks. YELLOW FEVER: If you have recently travelled to, or are coming from any of the countries listed below, you must provide proof of vaccination for yellow fever- Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, French Guyana, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Venezuela, Surinam, Trinidad & Tobago.
