We met in London—Liz fresh off a whirlwind trip to Oktoberfest, and Braedan finally leaving the country (his first trip abroad). Introduced by mutual friends, neither of us thought much of it at first. After all, Braedan lived in Los Angeles, and Liz was based in New York City. It was supposed to be a quick hello and goodbye. But that December, something shifted. The pursuit began—though not without some funny detours. Liz even tried to set Braedan up with one of her close friends, completely missing the signals. (We still laugh about that.) Nine years later, through long-distance calls, coast-to-coast flights, and countless shared adventures, we’ve built a life full of love—and now, a beautiful baby girl who’s the light of our world.
