Travel Note
For those flying in, downtown Pittsburgh is about a 25 minute drive from the airport. Though you could certainly rent a car, rideshare is widely available and tends to be the easiest way to get around town. The bus system, long underfunded, was fine when we were students at Pitt. Sadly, for those needing to be places on time, it leaves much to be desired. If you're looking to use the city's extensive bike lane network, and we suggest you do, text us for recommendations on bike rentals (Thanks Mayor Peduto). On the day of the party, a shuttle bus will pick up guests from both the Westin and Tryp hotels and transport you to the party. More details to come.
Hotel
Located in downtown Pittsburgh, the Westin is near some of Pittsburgh's key attractions, including the markets of the strip district, museums on the North Side, and Point State Park. Book by clicking the button below.
Hotel
Lawrenceville is Pittsburgh's ~*cool*~ neighborhood and a fantastic place to stay if you're looking for walkable streets full of boutiques, bars, restaurants, and a beautiful old cemetery. While slightly more expensive than the Westin, the Tryp is located inside the former Washington Education Center — a fun example of Pittsburgh's ongoing renaissance and rebirth. NOTE: To book the Tryp, email Lynn Reed at lreed@century-hospitality.com under the Pavone/Odermatt wedding block.
