We met 5 years ago when we were both working at Bar145 in Norwalk, Ohio (He was my boss!). We clicked right away and developed a great friendship! We shared many laughs over quoting the movie The Other Sister and Barney... I always looked forward to working my shifts when Alex was working (I may have had a little crush on him but shhhhh) Alex left the area to go manage the Fort Wayne Bar145, and I left the Bar Biz to start my career in Banking. Life got busy and we fell out of touch... In May 2017 we got together to catch up on each other's lives at an indoor Playground with our kids and the rest is history! We grew what was once a light and fun friendship into the loving family that we have today.
On my most favorite Holiday of the year, Alex got down on one knee under the glow of the Fireworks on the beachfront of Lake Erie in my childhood neighborhood. The moment was absolutely perfect, after a day that had been anything BUT... Alex left that morning to go run errands and I gave him a shopping list for the 4th of July cookout I needed him to get. One thing I needed for a recipe was Instant Vanilla pudding. I made sure to write on the list "NOT SUGAR FREE, NOT COOK N SERVE, MUST BE REGULAR INSTANT VANILLA"... Well, he brought back SUGAR FREE COOK N SERVE Vanilla pudding! On top of being gone ALL day, and not knowing where he was (He was out picking up the ring) We almost didn't even make it down to the Fireworks that evening. When we did walk down to the fireworks, one kid had to pee, the other kid pooped in his pants!! I was trying to leave to take them home but Alex refused to let me leave And in that moment, in the middle of the beautiful chaos that is our life, he asked me to spend the rest of my life with him and it was so us, so absolutely perfect! We are SO excited to celebrate the next chapter in our lives with all of you! See you in August!
