We met the way many great love stories begin...at work. Patrick was my supervisor (and yes, I was obviously the favorite, sorry Eliut). From the beginning, there was an undeniable connection. Everyone around us saw it, even when we insisted we were just friends. Our “just friends” phase included countless adventures to Universal Studios, where we’d spend our days off sipping drinks at Moe’s and wandering through Harry Potter World, laughing until our faces hurt. There was definitely more going on beneath the surface, but we were both too stubborn to admit it. Then everything shifted with a single kiss. In that moment, it felt like we had opened the door to a brand new chapter, one filled with excitement, hope, and just enough uncertainty to make it real. We found ourselves wondering: were we truly meant to be more than friends, or would crossing that line cost us the bond we already cherished? It took courage, but Patrick eventually asked me to be his girlfriend. Saying “yes” felt like the biggest leap of faith I’d ever taken, and looking back, it was also the best choice I’ve ever made. Now, five years later, we’re getting married and we’re still the same goofy, mind-reading, laugh-until-we-cry duo we’ve always been. Through every twist, turn, and inside joke, we’ve grown together without ever losing the fun. We’re endlessly grateful for the love, encouragement, and support we’ve received along the way.
