We heard about each other through mutual friends and only knew one another from what we could see on our Twitter pages. Bree hit the follow button and Bryant shortly followed her back. Bree was the daring one and made the first move by sliding into the DM's with the most perfect line, and Bryant was sold. After getting to know each other through text for about a year Bryant made the courageous decision to fly to Lubbock, Texas in the middle of a snowstorm to take Bree on a date and meet her face-to-face for the first time (bonus points for Bryant for doing this around Valentines Day). From day one of meeting in real life, we knew we wanted to be in each other's lives forever. What was supposed to be a short weekend trip, turned into 2 weeks of Bryant unable to leave Lubbock because all flights were canceled because of the snowstorm. Lucky for us, we really liked each other and loved getting to spend that extra time together, it all worked out perfectly. We navigated through 2 years of long-distance together. In that time, we would see each other once a month. Since we knew that our time was precious and we both loved nature and hiking so much, we decided to do a crazy fun hike every time we met up. We fell in love with this routine and this became a cornerstone of our growing relationship and our love for the mountains. This also led to us creating our bucket list goal of visiting every National Park in the U.S. We finally broke the 2 year streak of long distance after Bree finished her degree, and got a job in Nashville. We were thrilled and so excited to find out what life was like for us, living in the same city. In keeping up with our mountain adventuring, Bryant planned a trip for us to go to two of the National Parks in the PNW that were at the top of our National Parks bucket list. What Bree didn't know was that Bryant was planning with her brother to pull off the most heartwarming proposal. Bryant picked the hardest and most dangerous hike in Olympic National Park, Mt. Storm King. After harrowing rope and rock climb (and lots of convincing Bree to climb to the top) Bryant got down on one knee and asked Bree to marry him, in front of a beautiful view that overlooked Lake Cresent.
