Anna and Lucas met in college at Baldwin Wallace University in Berea, Ohio. They were best friends for a year before they started dating. The two fell in love on a long weekend trip to Emlenton, Pennsylvania during their sophomore year. Upon graduation, Lucas went on tour and Anna went to graduate school in Virginia. After years of living apart they have finally settled down in Cleveland. Anna is a voice instructor at Aurora School of Music and Lucas teaches theatre at Gilmour Academy.

Lucas asked Anna to marry him the morning of June 11, 2023 at Edgewater Park in Lakewood, Ohio. Anna was wearing her Budweiser t-shirt while their dogs watched from the car. A group of their closest friends traveled to sing a cover of "Lady May" by Tyler Childers during the proposal. Lucas surprised Anna with tickets to the Tyler Childers concert later that night. It was a perfect day and she said yes.
