Ryan and I are both sophomores in Chemical Engineering. We met last spring in a Programming class, and we immediately clicked. Our courtship was created on witty banter and many many hours of homework together :) We began dating in the summer and have loved every second of it! From late nights studying in the Engineering Building to long days hiking Utah trails, we have had so many adventures! We are so excited to share this wonderful day with you!!!! - Alexa
Ryan's proposal was completely perfect. Even though he was super sick, he planned the most wonderful day! First: flowers- like lots of flowers, like a whole bucket of them. Then, we headed to the temple! A wonderful afternoon was followed by my favorite sweet treat of nutella and berries. He coordinated a playlist of sentimental songs from my friends and family to listen to as we drove to a secret location. Once arrived, he surprised me with a trip to the Ice Castles!!! As a Floridian, I was absolutely stunned by the beauty! After admiring the structure, he got on one knee, and I SAID YES!!! We were joined by many of our wonderful friends, and the rest is history! - Alexa
After marriage, Alexa and I will have three years of school left. We plan to take one semester off to get industry experience at a co-op. We will continue to have most of the same classes, which is perfect because we love studying together! We are both involved in campus organizations, such as the American Institute of Chemical Engineers. We also both work in Campus Research Labs (I work in a Biotech Lab, and Alexa works in a Combustion Lab)! We love BYU and are excited to move through the rest of Chemical Engineering together! - Ryan
