As you all know, we eloped on New Year's Eve in a tiny ceremony with immediate family. The time has come to celebrate with all of you! Join us for a backyard soiree this summer complete with dinner, drinks, and dancing.

For Ashlynn, Australia was scratching the obligatory "study abroad" itch. For Brennan, Australia was just far enough away from his responsibilities as a 6th-grade math teacher. Little did they know their paths would cross so far from home. Ashlynn's study abroad coordinator happened to be Brennan's sister, Maddie. When he told his sister he planned to visit her in Australia, she mentioned she had one student she thought he'd really enjoy. That student was indeed Ash, or so Maddie says. After several months down under, both ended up back in Portland. Brennan to find a new career, and Ash to find Brennan. And also because she had a year and a half left of school. But mostly because of Brennan. Years would pass with friendly rounds of golf and casual pints of beer. The two would exchange texts regularly but it wasn't until Brennan began pursuing an MBA at the University of Portland that he also began pursuing Ashlynn. After running into each other one evening on campus, Ash agreed to grab a drink with B and catch up. They met at The Old Gold, a quaint Portland bar that is now the couple's neighborhood pub. One drink led to many, and the night was filled with bad puns and even more laughter. Now, more than six years after meeting, B continues to tell terrible jokes and Ash continues to laugh.
