How do I get to The Mateson House? (For those not using GPS)

Answer

Drive east out of Salem on Highway 22. You will be on this highway for most of your journey. Highway 22 will turn into Highway 20 just before the mountain pass, so do not be confused. Continue on Highway 20 towards Sisters. Right before you get into Sisters there is a roundabout. At the roundabout, take the 2nd exit and stay on Highway 20 E. After driving through Downtown Sisters, turn left onto N Locust St. This road will turn into Camp Polk Rd, which you follow for a couple miles. Turn left onto Old Wagon Rd and veer left. Follow Old Wagon Rd for about half a mile and then turn left onto Sage Woods Ln. Then take a left onto Tumbleweed Turn. At this point, you should not be able to miss it, but The Mateson House is the second house on your right. You can also use the address on the homepage.

What should I wear?

Answer

Since we will be in central Oregon during September, the weather is a bit unpredictable. I suggest layers; it may be hot during the day but cool down rapidly in the late afternoon. So bring a sweater for the later portion of the evening.
