Downtown Mall
If you have never visited Charlottesville, checking out the downtown mall is a must! There is parking in the Water Street Garage nearby, and you can then stroll down the walking mall to check out the many restaurants, shops and bars of downtown. Sam's favorite spot is enjoying a glass of wine at Tilman's, while Andrew has many fond memories on the 3rd floor of Miller's. For the Dave Matthews fans - Miller's is where Dave got his start!
Carter Mountain Orchard and Country Store
A great view of Charlottesville from the mountain. They make a cider donut that rivals Wager's! You can also grab a glass of wine or Bold Rock cider while you're there.
Route 151
"Route 151" is about a half hour drive West of Charlottesville, out by our home in Crozet, VA! For our New York friends, 151 mirrors the lake roads in FLX. An abundance of wineries, breweries and amazing views as you drive South through the mountains. Our favorite spot is Blue Mountain Brewery, a frequent Friday night date night spot!
Rassawek Vineyards
The annual Spring Jubilee at Rassawek Vineyards will be the weekend of our wedding! Rassawek is only about 15 minutes from the farm. It is a very unique event that celebrates the local, the handmade and the homegrown!
Boar's Head Resort
If you want relaxation worked into the weekend - Boars Head Spa is a must. If the spa isn't for you, you can play a round of golf!
King Family Vineyards
Less than 10 minutes from our house, this is one of our favorite wineries. Amazing views, amazing wine, and a polo match every Sunday with the ponies. Sam will always be biased to the Finger Lakes Wine Region - But King Family gives the FLX a run for their money!
Monticello
If you want to add some history into the weekend, take a tour of Monticello. The home of President Thomas Jefferson!
