Brenton and I met in AP Calculus class of my Senior high school year, his Junior year. Those of you that know Brenton now may not believe it, but back then, getting him to talk (or smile) was like pulling teeth! Especially since he had braces. Those who know me may believe it, but I made it my personal mission to do something stupid or silly everyday until he showed a little smile. But that was only the beginning. We also had Spanish 4, then AP Spanish together. I had missed the class for some reason and found him on Facebook and ask him what the homework was. I also asked him for his number in case I missed another class. I had other people numbers in that class, I just wanted his :) After I graduated we hung out more and more. Summer was coming to an end and I was about to leave for college, he asked me to be his girlfriend and I said.... no! Typical college kid, didn't want to be tied down by someone in my first year of college, wanted freedom, blah blah. That lasted all of a week. Two days before I left for Towson I asked him if he still wanted to date me, he said yes, and our relationship started. Over the next ten years we grew together as a couple and went on some awesome adventures. We graduated from Towson University, I commissioned into the Army as an Officer. We visited my family in Ecuador, cruised to Bermuda, attended Mardi Gras in New Orleans, visited some friends in Dubai. We moved into our first apartment together, then bought a house and adopted our spoiled brat of a fur son Leo. For our 10 year anniversary we wanted to do something special together, and got married in Lake Tahoe, CA. As much as we loved our wedding day though, it didn't feel quite right without our family and friends there to celebrate with us. So we're excited to do it all over again with you all and have a fun night!
