Bear Mt. is a state park, do we pay for parking?

Answer

Parking is free starting by 5pm! If anyone asks for payment, just say you are there for the wedding taking place. It is a $10 fee if arriving earlier

Is this an adults only event?

Answer

Yes! While we love to watch the kids run and play, this is an adults only kind of day. Enjoy your night off by celebrating with us!

Are we allowed to bring a date?

Answer

All guests in serious relationships will be invited and able to submit RSVPs by name! Unfortunately, we simply can not extend a plus one for all our lovely guests. We are very sorry about that but thank you for understanding!

Why Bear Mountain Inn for our special day?

Answer

Growing up family time always involved Bear Mountain. Whether it was fireworks for 4th of July, watching Ice skating shows or checking out the awesome car shows every Wednesday! Denise’s family was even cool enough to have their cars in the show ; a 2001 Mustang Bullitt, as well as 1965 and 1966 Mustangs (both 60’s mustangs were in American Gangster and her parents drove them in the movie) Not only was childhood memories a sentimental part of deciding on Bear Mountain, Denise and Kyle also had special times there themselves. It was a special place growing up before meeting each other as well as becoming one together

History of Bear Mountain Inn?

Situated in Bear Mountain State Park and overlooking the shores of Hessian Lake, the historic Bear Mountain Inn is listed on the National and New York State Registers of Historic Places. As the centerpiece of a unique park system that stretches from the edge of New York City through the Hudson Valley, the Bear Mountain Inn was declared by The American Architect to be one of the “finest examples of rustic Adirondack architecture in America” upon its opening in 1915. For sports enthusiasts- The Brooklyn Dodgers, New York Giants, and New York Knickerbockers made the inn and adjacent athletic facilities their training headquarters in the 1930s. In 2005, Bear Mountain Inn closed for nearly six years for extensive renovations and to restore historic details and decorative motifs that were concealed or lost between the 1930s and 1980s due to changes to the floor plan. 15 luxury guest rooms and suites, and over 20,000 square feet of flexible event space were also included. .
