Kayla and David met on a dating website initially. Fate brought the two together when one of David's tractor tires blew which allowed him to have a free evening to go up and meet Kayla in person in Lubbock on September 29th. After a few drinks, they decided that it was a relationship worth pursuing. On November 24th, David told Kayla that he loved her for the very first time. From there, the rest is history.

After having been together for 10 months of pure bliss, David knew that there would be no point in waiting any longer. He took her to The West Table Kitchen and Bar in downtown Lubbock at 6pm on August 3rd. After a wonderful meal of quail, duck, and lamb they went to a Maxey Park. As they were walking around the lake, Kayla turned around to find David on one knee and of course, she said yes!
