So the first time I ever saw Erin, I was in eighth grade at the Oak Hills High School talent show with my dad, who was the assistant principal. I was able to spot my friend Robert who I knew from church, in the crowd. Therefore I went to sit with him. While we watched the talent show, after every act, this girl would run across the stage. Robert would just start cheering obnoxiously for her. I asked him, "Who is that?" He said, "That’s my sister." So I decided to start cheering with him. (I thought she was very, very beautiful) Every time she would come to take something on/off the stage, we would cheer for her. She would get embarrassed, turn red, and laugh. I didn’t think much of it until my freshman orientation at Oak Hills High School. I was very overwhelmed from being homeschooled to actually going to a public high school. I was nervous, but all that kind of went away for a second when I saw a familiar face. Erin was standing at the top of the bleachers telling people where to sit. I said, "Hey, Dodds." (She did not realize I had said anything to her) After that, I just couldn’t really keep my eyes off of her because she was the only person that I really knew. There was one point in particular when the song Baby by Justin Bieber came on, and Erin absolutely started singing with it with a mic. I just sat back and looked at her laughing and smiled so big. Once again, I did not think much of the situation. However, right when I walked through the door, she instantly noticed me even though she did not know me. She says that right away, she knew she had a crush on me. She later found out that I was the assistant principal's son, and then thought to herself, "Welp, I can't date him now." About two weeks later, I went over to hang out with Robert at his house. This is when Erin found out I was best friends with her brother, and then she thought, " Wow, I really can't date him now." Therefore, we became great friends throughout our high school years. We were there for each other through all the ups and downs. God’s Will has kept us in each other's life. Now we are both so in love with each other more than we ever could have imagined.
