FAQs

Answering all your questions to make your lives easier!
Question

Where are the ceremony and reception taking place?

Answer

The ceremony will be held at Lumen Christi Parish in Mequon, Wisconsin. We ask that you are seated no later than 1:45 pm as the ceremony begins promptly at 2:00 pm. There will be a gap between the ceremony and reception, so please visit the Things to Do tab for places to explore in the meantime, or check into your hotel during this time. The reception will be held at The Ivy House in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Doors open to this venue at 5:00 pm with dinner beginning soon after.

Question

Are Children Allowed?

Answer

Although we love little ones, (especially Lauren), our wedding is an adults-only celebration. You deserve a night to kick off your shoes and party with the newlyweds! Thank you for understanding (and for finding a sitter).

Question

How Do I RSVP?

Answer

In an effort to save a few trees (and the brides sanity), all RSVPs must be submitted online via our ZOLA website. You will be able to confirm the number of guests planning to attend there.

Question

What airport should I fly into?

Answer

General Mitchell International Airport (MKE) This airport is approximately 15 minutes away from the reception venue.

Question

Do you have a hotel room block?

Answer

Yes! We have secured a block of rooms at the Kimpton Journeyman Hotel. This hotel is conveniently located exactly one mile away from our reception venue, and near a variety of shops, restaurants, and attractions. To take advantage of the group discount you can call the following number and mention the LaDell/Kurtz wedding to received a discounted rate - (888) 536-9008 If you would like to book online, simply enter code LDW into the discount code box.

Question

What transportation is available for the weekend?

Answer

Unfortunately, the Journeyman hotel does not have a shuttle service to our venue; however, it's only 1 mile away! What we recommend is for guests to drive if possible to the ceremony, and drop their cars off after at their hotel during the gap between the ceremony and reception. Then they can Uber or Lyft to the venue.

Question

Will parking be available at the venue?

Answer

Yes! The Ivy House has a large parking lot directly next to the building that should easily accommodate the amount of people actually driving to the venue. If this lot fills up, there is street parking around the area as well. However, if you plan to drink, we recommend using Uber or Lyft.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

Formal attire is preferred. The bride kindly requests that white and similar colors, including ivory, off-white and blush, are reserved for her! Thank you in advance for understanding.

Question

Where are you registered?

Answer

We are registered directly through the ZOLA website! Please click on our registry tab to find this information.

Question

Who should I contact if I have questions the day of the wedding?

Answer

The mother of the bride, Maureen LaDell, will be available to answer all of your day of questions if you call or text 262-573-4920. But PLEASE read this page carefully because we tried to make it as thorough as possible for you all. Thank you in advance!

Question

When Do I Have to RSVP By?

Answer

We would appreciate your RSVP no later than November 1st, 2020. This way we can plan accordingly on our end.

Question

Can I take pictures during the ceremony/post on social media?

Answer

No. We have hired an amazing photographer and videographer to capture our wedding, so please allow them to do so. Don't be the person that has their phone out while the Bride is walking down the aisle. During the reception, pull out those phones, take all the pictures, and don't forget to hashtag #LoveYouSoMuchItKurtz
