We met on September 6, 2015, at my best friend Brooke’s family reunion. It was love at first sight. Then, on July 4, 2017, the stars aligned, and we officially began dating. They say love isn’t something you find; it’s something that finds you. At 9:45, just as the fireworks lit up the sky, he asked me to be his. This couldn’t have been done without his cousin Morgan. In 2018, we went to our first school dances together, and he graduated in May that same year. In August, he left for college, and we did long distance for a year. Then, in August 2019, we ended up at the same school. Due to COVID, our college experience was cut short, but we made the most of our time together. In 2021, we got our first place together, and by 2022, we even got dogs. After 7 years waiting in Azkaban on July 17, after a weekend trip, he proposed to me in our bedroom. It was such an intimate moment. I had a feeling something was up when his mom texted him during our drive home, and he quickly tried to hide it. I asked him what she wanted, and he brushed it off with an “Oh, nothing.” Little did I know, after six years, the moment I’d been waiting for had finally arrived. Now, we're set to marry on the ten-year anniversary of the day we met. Picture below is a photo from when he first asked me out and the when we first met.
