The couple first met in Beverly Hills in 2020 at an Equinox gym. At that time, Caitlin was a professional dancer and personal trainer, and Jake had just graduated college. Little to their knowledge, they had gone to college just 30 minutes away from one another in small North Carolina towns - Jake at High Point University and Caitlin at UNC School of the Arts. It wasn’t until a couple years later, in 2022, that Jake first asked Caitlin out on a date. They went to a small Italian restaurant in West Hollywood and immediately bonded over their love for exercise, and of course, great food! After that very first date, they both knew there was something special between them. From their first trip together to Jamaica, to their engagement trip in Charleston, their love has grown stronger every day. Now, they can’t wait to start this next chapter together surrounded by all of their loved ones!

The proposal happened on September 5, 2024 in Charleston, SC - one of Caitlin’s favorite places. Jake had planned a romantic walk to Philadelphia Alley, a historic and picturesque alleyway known for its cobblestone streets and charming atmosphere. When the moment arrived, Jake got down on one knee and asked the easiest question ever, “Will you marry me?” Caitlin said yes, and through many happy tears, they celebrated with a surprise photographer organized by Jake and were soon joined by Caitlin’s family. It was the perfect start to forever - surrounded by loved ones, in a place they’ll cherish for a lifetime.
